3" Shogun Warrior Figures

I'm not really into the 3" collectible guys. They can't really do anything except sit on you shelf. Their torsos are diecast but the rest is plastic. I have a couple and I'll present them here but for the full deal you may want to go the John Eaton's page.

This is Poseidon and Voltes V. These toys came in a strange curved front box with the toy held in place by means of a twist tie. The Shoguns look kind of neat "floating" in the box. These pices are pretty common loose, but don't confuse the Shoguns with the Mini-Godaikins. They'r almost identical but the Godaikin has extra stickers on parts of the robots. The Godaikins also come on a card.

Combattra U-Combine Set

This is the Deluxe Shogun Set which is essentially a Combattra DX in a Shogun Box. Mattel also sold this toy in five seperate boxes as the U-Combine vehicles. The packaging on this toy is kind of lame and is just corrogated cardboard. Other than that its the Combattra Dx. Although, being a Combattra junky, I think its pretty cool.

This is one of the U-Combine vehicles. This is vehicle #5, the feet for combattra. This is a very desireable piece because it comes with the infamous "Combattra Suspenders"! [Side Box] [Back Box] [Instructions]

Random Shogun Stuff

You may not believe some of the stuff you will see below. Mattel really milked the Shogun Warrior name for all it was worth. Monogram made a few model kits, colorforms made a playset and a bunch of other companies made some very forgetable items. They make a cool footnote in the Shogun world but you won't see me displaying my 2 in 1 Gaiking next to a Shogun rocket top. Thanks to John Eaton for providing many of the images for this section.

Dragun Model: These aren't the best looking models and whats with the color?

Gaiking Model: Gaiking looks not so bad.

Dragun Model: Again, where did they get this color scheme?

Mazinga Model: Maybe they were trying to invent the first superdeformed?

Raider Model:
They really got the feet perfect!

Raydeen Model:
Monogram really took some artistice license when making these guys.

Shogun Colorforms: Why play in 3-d when you can play on a flat board!

Shogun Puzzle:
I'll be out to play later, right now I'm gonna build this nifty puzzle!

Shogun Costume: Now this is pretty cool compared to my Darth Vader costume.

Shogun Utility Belt:
Now this is very cool! Combine this with the costume and you were set!

Shogun Wrist Watch: Very useful if you are always forgeting when to fight your battles.

Shogun Rocket Top: Uhhh..... well .........Ummmmm ......
It says Shogun?
